From the true us, the real us, the actual us.

We hide our mistakes, our sadness.

We try to make it all seem like happiness, so effortless.

We try to hide our sins and worries,

Make it seem like life is bliss.

But it's the mistakes and the sadness that we should never miss.

Just because I'm Vietnamese...

Doesn't mean I'm a karate master.

Doesn't mean I idolize Bruce Lee.

Doesn't mean I love rice.

Just because I'm Asian...

Doesn't mean I can automatically be title as Chinese or Japanese.

Doesn't mean my family is full of bad divers.

Just because I'm Vietnamese...

I do like to do the things you like to do.

I do like to playing video games.

I do like to watch The Simpsons or Family Guy.

Just because I'm Vietnamese...

Why should you or I or anyone else care what ethnicity I am?

Why do we give ourselves silly,useless titles like race?

I never named you, but you were still my pet...

You never liked the food i gave you and always make annoying noises when i tried to sleep...

You always stunk a lot and never said a word...

But you were still my pet...

You didn’t do much, but sleep and eat...

You never did anything interesting or extreme...

But you were still my pet and i would never trade you for any other pet

Not a talking bird or a lazy cat.

If I were to get a chance to have you as a pet again

I would just sit there and stare at you trying to escape the tank over and over again.

I am a middle school student at Urban Promise Academy in Oakland, CA. I want to experience how to make my own website and being able to post thing that are in my interests and what I care about. Some hobbies I have are playing computer games and sleep. People describe me as intelligent and sometimes lazy. ^_^
